UTM has started to use a logo containing its name to the right of its insignia in all business and premises.
This new image is intended to make it more well-known and competitive at the national and international levels.
Meanwhile, UNIMAS has started using the logo with its name and abbreviation since it was established in 1992. However, the logo does not portray the university motto.
Later, other 'older' universities has changed their logo and added its name abbreviation next to it. They are USM and UPM, among others.
This style is also adapted by the 'younger' universities such as UTHM, UniMAP and UMP.
